On April 6, 2023 (Thursday) at 20:00, the fourth session of the AI Cloud public lecture series sponsored by the CAAI, organized by the CAAI Artificial Intelligence Foundation Professional Committee, and co-organized by Beijing Paratera Tech Corp. Ltd, will be held online. Professor Wang Liwei from Peking University will give a lecture on “Deep Learning Theory.”
A Brief Introduction of the Guest Speaker
Wang Liwei, a professor at the School of Intelligence Science and Technology, Peking University, has been engaged in machine learning research for a long time. He has made a series of achievements in machine learning algorithms and theory and published over 200 high-level papers in leading international journals and conferences on machine learning. He serves as an editorial board member of TPAMI, a leading journal of artificial intelligence. He has been the chairman of flagship conferences of machine learning including NeurIPS, ICML and ICLR for many times. He was selected as one of AI's 10 to Watch, making him the first Asian scholar to receive this honor since the establishment of the award. He also received the ICLR 2023 Outstanding Paper Award.
