On October 13, 2024, the “CAAI Visiting Universities: A Successful Event at Hunan University”, hosted by CAAI  and organized by Hunan University, was successfully held. This event, with the theme of 'Large-scale Embodied Intelligence Models and Medical Applications, was one of the concurrent thematic forums of the “2024 CAAI Frontier Forum on Embodied Intelligence”. It has attracted over 570,000 offline and online participants.

Eight experts and scholars from the fields of computer science, artificial intelligence, medicine, and medical equipment, shared their reports. Their presentations focused on the cutting-edge research and application innovations of large-scale embodied intelligence models in the medical field, and featured implementation in medical diagnosis, medical imaging, clinical surgery, rehabilitation treatment, drug development, and data processing. 

This activity, held in Hunan University, provided faculty and students with the opportunity to engage in face-to-face exchanges with industry experts and scholars. It also built a bridge for academic exchange and technical collaboration among enterprises, universities, and research institutions. It played a significant role not only in supporting the basic research in intelligent science at Hunan University, but also in promoting the integration of medical and engineering applications.
