In accordance with the "Administrative Measures for the Engineer Special Program under the China Association for Science and Technology's Young Science and Technology Talent Cultivation Project (Trial)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Administrative Measures"), The China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) will continue to pilot the Engineer Special Program under the Youth Science and Technology Talent Cultivation Project in 2026 (hereinafter referred to as the "Young Engineer Program"). In accordance with the requirements of the "Notice from the General Office of the China Association for Science and Technology on Launching the 2026 Engineer Special Program under the Youth Science and Technology Talent Cultivation Project" (CAST General Office Document No. 21 [2026]), the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence is now accepting applications for the Engineer Special Program under the Youth Science and Technology Talent Cultivation Project. Eligible young engineering and technical professionals in the field of artificial intelligence and related fields may submit their application materials to the Society. Relevant details are provided below.

The Young Engineers Program primarily targets young engineering and technical professionals with a solid practical foundation who are engaged in engineering and technology R&D, design, construction, manufacturing, and consulting at enterprises, research institutes, new economic organizations, new social organizations, and among new employment groups. The 2026 pilot program for the Young Engineers Initiative will focus on strategic emerging industries such as next-generation information technology, new energy, new materials, smart and connected new energy vehicles, robotics, biopharmaceuticals, high-end equipment, and aerospace; future industries such as quantum technology, biomanufacturing, hydrogen and nuclear fusion energy, brain-computer interfaces, embodied intelligence, and sixth-generation mobile communications; while also taking traditional industries into account. The specific eligibility criteria are as follows:

1. Be a Chinese citizen who loves the motherland and the Communist Party of China, abides by laws and regulations, demonstrates good character and an upright academic attitude, and possesses sound political qualities and a strong sense of patriotism;2. Be dedicated to one's work and committed to professional development, have at least five years of continuous experience in engineering and technical work, and have participated or are currently participating in major engineering projects or research tasks at the provincial or ministerial level or higher, or are currently engaged in engineering and technical work in key fields of urgent national need;
