On the morning of July 27, 2026, the Second General Assembly and Leadership Transition Meeting of the CAAI Technical Committee on Multilingual Intelligent Information Processing was successfully held in Kunming. More than 50 experts and scholars from universities, research institutes, and industry enterprises attended the meeting, including Professor Zhang Huaping from Beijing Institute of Technology, Professor Yu Zhengtao from Kunming University of Science and Technology, Professor Zhao Xiaobing from Minzu University of China, and He Zhongjun, a senior engineer at Baidu.

The meeting was chaired by Professor Su Jinsong of Xiamen University. At the outset of the meeting, Professor Su Jinsong, on behalf of all attendees, spoke highly of the outstanding contributions made by the previous committee in advancing the field of multilingual intelligent information processing. He expressed special gratitude to Academician Wushou'er Slamu and Professor Sun Maosong for their tireless efforts and remarkable achievements in academic leadership, talent development, and platform construction, and paid high tribute to them for laying a solid foundation for the Specialized Committee.

Subsequently, the meeting formally announced the list of members for the Second CAAI Multilingual Intelligent Information Processing Technical Committee and, in strict accordance with established procedures, elected the leadership of the new committee.Following the election, Professor Zhang Huaping of Beijing Institute of Technology was elected Chair; Professor Yu Zhengtao of Kunming University of Science and Technology, Professor Zhao Xiaobing of Minzu University of China, Professor Aiskar Aimudula of Xinjiang University, Professor Fei Long of Inner Mongolia University, Professor Feng Xiaocheng of Harbin Institute of Technology, Professor Yu Yongbin of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and He Zhongjun, Senior Engineer at Baidu, were elected Vice Chairs; Professor Li Lei of Beijing Institute of Technology was elected Secretary-General; Associate Professor Losang Gaden of Tibet University and Tian Liang, Chairman of Xinyi Information Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., were elected Deputy Secretaries-General. Additionally, the meeting elected 19 experts and scholars from key universities nationwide and leading enterprises in the industry to serve as Standing Committee members.
