
On July 23-24, 2026, the 2026 Academic Forum on Efficient Learning Technologies for Complex Big Data, organized by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) and jointly hosted by the CAAI Specialized Committee on Intelligent Services and Huaiyin Normal University, was successfully held at Huaiyin Normal University. More than 130 faculty members and students from Huaiyin Normal University participated in the event.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Zhang Yancai, Vice President of Huaiyin Normal University.Zhao Yijiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Huaiyin Normal University, and Hu Weiming, Researcher at the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Director of the CAAI Specialized Committee on Intelligent Services, jointly unveiled the plaque for the university's newly established "School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation."Zhao Xiangxiang, President of Huaiyin Normal University, extended a warm welcome to the attendees on behalf of the university and provided an overview of the institution's operations, highlighting the significance of the newly established School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation. He noted that the establishment of this school is not only a response to the demands of the times and an alignment with the trends of the technological revolution and industrial transformation, but also a pragmatic step to uphold the university's foundation in teacher education, develop distinctive features in intelligent education, advance the digital transformation of liberal arts programs, proactively meet local industrial needs, and drive the university's in-depth transition toward an applied education model.
Researcher Hu Weiming reviewed the development history of the CAAI Intelligent Services Technical Committee and emphasized that this forum, themed "Efficient Learning Technologies for Complex Big Data," aims to build a platform for collaboration and exchange among young scholars and encourage them to focus on cutting-edge areas such as intelligent data management, large-scale models, smart education, smart healthcare, and embodied intelligence.
