On July 19, the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference · Physical Intelligence Innovation Ecosystem Forum was successfully held at the West Bund International Convention and Exhibition Center in Xuhui District, Shanghai. Under the theme "Laying the Foundation for Physical Intelligence, Empowering Thousands of Industries," the forum was jointly organized by the Fudan University School of Intelligent Robotics and Advanced Manufacturing Innovation, the Shanghai Qingpu Fudan Future Technology Research Institute, and the China Software Evaluation Center, with co-organizers including Feijieke Si Intelligent Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Muxi Integrated Circuit (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., the Human-Machine Convergence Intelligence Specialized Committee of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, and the Fudan Lingang Industrialization Innovation Platform. The Office of the Organizing Committee of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference served as the forum's guiding body, and the People's Government of Xuhui District, Shanghai, served as the forum's supporting unit.

As a special sub-forum of the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, the event closely followed the cutting-edge trends in the AI industry, bringing together numerous top universities and research institutions, more than 30 leading enterprises and publicly listed companies, and nearly 100 financial and investment institutions. Over 500 guests attended in person, with more than 1,000 registered participants, uniting forces from industry, academia, research, and investment under one roof. Participants pooled their wisdom and efforts to collectively advance physical AI technology from isolated breakthroughs toward systematic, collaborative innovation, and to shift from independent corporate R&D toward industry-wide co-creation and sharing. They worked to efficiently align scientific research outcomes with industrial needs, deepen university-industry collaboration and the exchange of specialized talent, support the development of an open and shared innovation ecosystem for China's physical intelligence industry, and accelerate the large-scale implementation of cutting-edge physical AI technologies.
