On June 28, 2026, the "2026 China Intelligent Driving Forum and Annual Conference of the Intelligent Driving Technical Committee of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI)," hosted by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) and jointly organized by the CAAI Intelligent Driving Technical Committee and the School of Transportation Science and Engineering at Beihang University, was held in Beijing. Under the theme "AI Reshaping Future Mobility," the conference focused on industry development trends, breakthroughs in key technologies, innovative applications in real-world scenarios, and the development of the industrial ecosystem. Through presentations by academicians and experts, thematic sessions, and roundtable discussions, participants explored new pathways for artificial intelligence to empower future mobility and established a high-level platform for exchange among government, industry, academia, research institutions, and end-users.

Experts attending the conference included Li Deyi, Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Li Keqiang, Professor at Tsinghua University's School of Vehicle and Transportation; Deng Weiwen, Chair of the CAAI Intelligent Driving Technical Committee, Dean of the School of Transportation Science and Engineering at Beihang University, and CAAI/SAE Fellow; Chen Xuewen, Founder of Wuyan Intelligence Technology and former Chief AI Scientist at GAC Research Institute; and Sun Hang, Chief Engineer at the China Automotive Standardization Research Institute. Yang Shichun, Party Secretary of the School of Transportation Science and Engineering at Beihang University; Li Shengbo, Professor at the School of Vehicle and Transportation Engineering and the School of Artificial Intelligence at Tsinghua University; Zhai Jun, Chairman of Wanji Technology; Yu Guizhen, Founder of Tago Technology and Professor at Beihang University; and Wang Rongjin, Founding Partner of Xuan Yuan Capital-along with other representatives from universities, research institutions, industry enterprises, and investment firms-participated in the event.

Professor Deng Weiwen, the conference moderator, pointed out that intelligent driving has become the most mature and promising application scenario for artificial intelligence on a large scale. Its development is not merely the accumulation of technical concepts, but rather the inevitable direction for AI-driven growth of new-quality productive forces. Key elements such as simulation testing, environmental perception, data security, and capital empowerment are continuously strengthening the foundation of the industry's development, propelling it toward a higher level of collaborative innovation.
