From May 15 to 17, 2026, the "2026 Workshop on AI Logic Theory and Applications" was successfully held at Xuchang University, co-hosted by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) and Xuchang University, and organized by the CAAI Specialized Committee on AI Logic, the School of Information Engineering of Xuchang University, and Xuchang University Science Park. The workshop focused on cutting-edge AI logic theory and its application practices, aiming to strengthen the discipline's theoretical foundation and promote the integrated development of academic innovation and talent cultivation.

Professor Xiong Minghui of Zhejiang University (Vice President of the Chinese Logic Society, CAAI Fellow), Professor Zhang Yong of Shenzhen University (Secretary General of the CAAI Specialized Committee on AI Logic), Professor Pei Jihong of Shenzhen University (Deputy Director of the CAAI Specialized Committee on AI Logic), Professor Zeng Qingfu (President of the Henan Logic Society), along with renowned experts and scholars from across the country, gathered at the event. The workshop was co-chaired by Professor Zhang Yong, Professor Xiong Minghui, Professor Shao Yabin of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Professor Ping Yuan (Executive Dean of the School of Information Engineering, Xuchang University), and Huang Hai (Deputy General Manager of Xuchang University Science Park).

Professor Zhang Yong delivered a speech on behalf of the CAAI Specialized Committee on AI Logic. He noted that AI logic serves as the core theoretical foundation of the artificial intelligence field and is currently at a critical stage where theoretical breakthroughs and application deepening are advancing hand in hand. This workshop provides an important platform for sharing achievements, intellectual exchange, and industry-academia-research collaboration within the field, and he expressed hope that participating experts would join forces to jointly promote the high-quality development of AI logic in China.
