As the wave of artificial intelligence surges forward, AI technologies and applications are deeply penetrating every industry, driving a vibrant momentum for industrial innovation and development. Against this backdrop, the 2026 Global Artificial Intelligence Technology Convention (GAITC 2026) was successfully held on May 23-24 along the Qiantang River in the thriving land of Yuhang. Over 200 distinguished experts, scholars, industry leaders, and tech innovators gathered to build consensus through intellectual exchange, chart the future through in-depth dialogue, and holistically deepen the integration of industry, academia, research, and application - injecting robust energy into Yuhang's ambition to become a national hub for AI industrial innovation.

Yuhang has long focused on advancing the AI industry, achieving remarkable results in technology R&D, real-world application deployment, platform development, and enterprise cultivation. It has emerged as a birthplace of innovation for China's AI industry. Leveraging its solid industrial foundation and strong growth trajectory, the convention drew significant attention from government authorities at various levels and many renowned industry-leading enterprises. Distinguished guests spanning the industry-academia-research-application spectrum attended the event in person to celebrate this major industry milestone.

At the opening ceremony, Liu Fei, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Secretary of the Hangzhou Municipal Committee; Weng Qiwen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; and Dai Qionghai, President of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), Dean and Professor of the School of Information Science and Technology at Tsinghua University, and Director of the Beijing National Research Center for Information Science and Technology, delivered successive speeches. They shared profound insights based on major industry trends and regional development realities.
