To recognize outstanding achievements, set exemplary models, fully mobilize the enthusiasm and creativity of sci-tech workers in taking on responsibilities and forging ahead, and build momentum for accelerating the construction of a leading sci-tech nation, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council have decided to organize the Fourth National Innovation March Award selection and commendation activity. In accordance with Document No. 14 (2026) of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) is now initiating the nomination process for its members and relevant institutions. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

(I) Scope of Selection: The scope for National Innovation March Advanced Collectives includes groups engaged in scientific and technological innovation, science popularization, and related work, which have been active in relevant fields for five years or more in principle. The scope for National Innovation March Advanced Individuals includes individuals working on the front lines of scientific and technological innovation, science popularization, and related fields, who should, in principle, have five or more years of work experience in the relevant areas. Generally, a collective and an individual from that same collective should not be selected simultaneously. Individuals who have previously received provincial or ministerial-level awards and the associated benefits will not generally be recommended unless they have made significant new contributions. Those who have already received the National Innovation March Advanced Individual award are not eligible to be recommended as the head of an advanced collective. Those who have previously received the National Innovation March Advanced Collective award as the head of a collective are not eligible to be recommended as an advanced individual.
