The News Conference for the 8th National Science and Technology Workers’ Day was held on the afternoon of May 23rd in the China Hall of Science and Technology, Beijing. In the conference, it introduced the general situation of the 2024 National Science and Technology Workers’ Day and released events that are going to be held during this period. “The Global Artificial Intelligence Technology Conference (2024)” organized by CAAI, as well as “the 12th AI Frontier Workshop”, was selected into the list for 2024 Key Events of “the National Science and Technology Workers’ Day” by the national associations. 

It is reported that this National Science and Technology Workers’ Day has widely mobilized “One Body with Two Wings” to achieve the scale effect, which has gained extensive attention and active participation of all sectors of society. Now, the theme website for the 2024 “National Science and Technology Workers’ Day” has displayed nearly 20,000 activities organized by national academic societies, local science associations and primary-level organizations.
