From May 5 to 7, 2024, the 14th Vision and Learning Young Scholars Seminar (VALSE2024) was hosted by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), the Image and Graphics Society of China (CSIG), and the China Association for the Promotion of National Trade, hosted by Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, co-organized by the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering of Chongqing University and the CSIG Youth Working Committee. It was supported by Chongqing Science and Technology Association, Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau, Chongqing Education Commission and Chongqing Youth Science and Technology Leading Talents Association was successfully held in Chongqing Yuelai International Conference Center. The experts and scholars at the meeting conducted in-depth discussions on the research fields of computer vision, image processing, pattern recognition and machine learning at home and abroad.
Shen Jinqiang, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Chongqing Municipal People's Congress, Li Leiting, Vice Chairman of the Party Group Secretary of Chongqing Association for Science and Technology, and heads of relevant departments of Chongqing Association for Science and Technology attended the opening ceremony. Professor Wang Guoyin, Vice President of CAAI and Vice President of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, addressed the conference.
There were 3 keynote presentations, 4 invited presentations, 12 APR reports, 4 Tutorial sessions, 19 workshops and more than 400 Posters on display at the conference. More than 140 academic elites in the field of artificial intelligence were invited to attend the conference, and more than 5,200 visual experts, scholars, and students from academia and industry attended the conference.
