On October 31st, 2023, a qualifier of the 2023 China ICV Algorithms Change (CIAC 2023) successfully concluded. It was jointly initiated by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF), China Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), National Innovation Center of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles, and China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Administrative Committee.

As one of the most influential and technically advanced events in the industry, the competition officially kicked off on September 8th, attracting nearly 1,100 teams from hundreds of universities and enterprises nationwide. Remarkably, 68% of the contestants hold master's degrees or above. Under the theme of “Intelligent Algorithms Empowerment, Connected Vehicles Build a Brighter Future”, CIAC 2023 centred on “real scenarios, intelligent future, global perspective”. The competition aimed to promote the development of intelligent connected vehicles technology and industry, accelerate talent cultivation in this field, and enhance China's independent and controllable capabilities in industrial software.
