On December 18-19, 2021, the 2021 "Zhixin Cup" National Artificial Intelligence Robot Innovation Competition Finals Award Ceremony and Artificial Intelligence Basic Theory Innovation Forum was held in Beijing. This event was sponsored by the CAAI, jointly organized by the CAAI Artificial Intelligence Basic Professional Committee and the Artificial Intelligence Professional Committee of the Chinese Branch of the International Information Research Society, and co-organized by Beijing Gefenwei Technology Co., Ltd.

This competition was held on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the CAAI. The theme is "Intelligent Innovation · Human-Machine Integration". The selection of topics were based on the development of China in the field of artificial intelligence robots in the past 40 years,included four major categories such as “basic theoretical innovation, breakthroughs in key technologies, typical demonstration applications, and intelligent robots ”, with 20 teams set up.

More than 400 participating teams and thousands of contestants from well-known universities, primary and middle schools, enterprises and institutions from all over the country signed up for the contest, and 120 projects were finally selected to enter the finals. In order to implement normalized epidemic prevention and control requirements, teams from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing Institute of Technology and other universities as well as Xi'an, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Guangdong, Hainan and other provinces and cities competed in the form of online and offline integration, involving smart education, smart medical care, smart aviation, smart logistics, smart agriculture and other fields, comprehensively displaying the contestants’artificial intelligence innovation research, robot innovative design, creative ideas, scene-based applications,etc. Comprehensive capabilities at all levels. At the meeting, the Secretary-General of CAAI Artificial Intelligence Basic Professional Committee, the Secretary-General of this competition, Professor Lu Jianghua, and Executive Secretary-General, Professor Chen Zhicheng, made a report on the registration, review, and overall statistics of the awards and announced the list of winners.

This competition focused on breakthroughs and innovations in the basic theories and key technologies of artificial intelligence, combined cutting-edge technologies and industrial needs, to comprehensively exercised the players'comprehensive abilities, promoted learning by competitions, and used competitions,and to cultivate "active, innovative, and collaborative ,brave to venture into the no-man's land" compound talentsis as its responsibility.

The artificial intelligence basic theory innovation forum held at the same time invited academicians Zhong Yixin, He Huacan, and Han Liqun to report on "Innovative Achievements of Institutional Artificial Intelligence", "New Paradigm of Artificial Intelligence Logic Theory", and "Artificial Intelligence Technology Competition and Talent Reserve" respectively. Through a combination of online and offline, this forum hosted many scientific research scholars, school teachers and students, and business experts to gather together, focusing on the research direction of artificial intelligence basic theories, breakthroughs in key core technologies, industrial development strategies, and commercial landing models. After exchanges and discussions, fruitful results were achieved.
