From December 17 to 18, the " China Smart Medical and Personalized Health Summit and 2021 Smart Medical Special Academic Conference ", organized by CAAI and co-organized by CAAI Smart Medical Special Committee, National Supercomputing Center in Tianjin, University of Science and Technology Beijing, University of Posts and Telecommunications Beijing, and Tianhe Supercomputing Huaihai Branch Center, was held at the National Supercomputing Center in Tianjin. Hundreds of people, including academicians fromCAS and CAE, scholars from research institutes and universities, and experts from medical institutions, attended the conference online and offline to discuss the application and development of smart medical  innovation in the new era and new normal around the theme of " Smart Medical and Personalized Health".

At the opening ceremony, CAAI executive director, director of CAAI Smart Medical Special Committee and professor of University of Science and Technology Beijing, Ban Xiaojuan, delivered an opening speech and expressed a welcome to the experts, scholars and guests on behalf of the CAAI.

Academician Dai Qionghai, President of CAAI, said in his speech that Artificial Intelligence and Smart Medical have served in the field of public health services and influenced and changed people's social life. It is hoped that through the exchange and discussion of this conference, the interdisciplinary integration of engineering, science and medicine can be promoted, and then contribute to a healthy China.

Academician Hao Xishan said that medical health has a profound impact on people's well-being, and cancer has become a major threat to human health, with the development of cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and other new generation of information technology, also provides new tools and means for disease prevention and treatment, and the application of intelligent technology in the field of cancer will be full of energy and hope. Tianjin Cancer Hospital and the National Supercomputing Center in Tianjin have carried out fruitful cooperation in many directions based on the "Tianhe" platform, contributing to the development of intelligent medical care and technology to fight against epidemics.

At the meeting, the Smart Medical Special Committee of CAAI and the Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence in Oncology of China Anti-Cancer Association signed a strategic cooperation memorandum. The two committees will give full play to the advantages of both sides and carry out extensive and in-depth cooperation in the areas of expert resource sharing, medical-industrial collaborative innovation, intelligent platform and scene building, etc., to improve the level of R&D and application of smart oncology and further promote and facilitate the integration development of Smart Medical  and medical technology.

During the conference, Prof. Zhang Ping, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Prof. Xu Bo, President of Chongqing University Cancer Hospital, Prof. Wang Yasha, Deputy Director of National Engineering Research Center for Software Engineering of Peking University, Mr. Meng Xiangfei, Chief Scientist of National Supercomputing Center in Tianjin, and Vice President Yang Wanjie, of Tianjin Fifth Central Hospital, and other industry experts gave keynote reports and shared their views on 5G+AI for intelligent and precise medical treatment, "Tianhe Medical Cloud" and new generation of computing intelligence applications in healthcare, AI reshaping the future of healthcare, AI in spinal deformity precision diagnosis and treatment, ophthalmic data and AI applications.

In the future, CAAI Smart Medical Special Committee will further carry out pragmatic and effective innovation exploration in artificial intelligence and medical applications, accelerate the construction of intelligent medical ecosystem and talent training, and serve the health China strategy.
