On January 20, 2018, the 11th Council Meeting of the 7th Standing Committee of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) was held in Beijing. Executive directors, deputy directors, secretary-generals and other standing directors attended the meeting. There are 57 executive directors of the 7th Standing Committee and 48 executive directors, which are 2/3 of the number of people who should attend the meeting. The procedures and resolutions of the meeting were valid.

Academician Deyi LI, president of the CAAI, made important speeches and summaries at the meeting: Firstly, we should strengthen the construction of think tanks; Secondly, we must make the forum on the dean of the artificial intelligence well held; Thirdly, artificial intelligence lecture hall should be further optimized; Fourthly, for the special committee that needs improvement, we are supposed to put forward guiding opinions and following development directions; Fifthly, we should further strengthen the self-construction of the CAAI, so as to bear the responsibility that history has to offer.

Researcher Weining WANG, secretary-general of the CAAI, made a summary report on the work of the 2017 CAAI, introduced the past work in 2017 and further deployed the key work in 2018. Professor Guojun WANG, Professor Hong LIU and Professor Shaoping MA, vice presidents of the CAAI, respectively reported on the relevant deliberations of the CAAI. At the same time, representatives of branch offices also had related exchanges and discussions.

The executive directors attending the meeting reviewed and approved the Administrative Measures of the Professional Committee of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (Revised Draft), the Administrative Measures of the Working Committee of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (Revised Draft), and the Wenjun WU Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award Regulations (Revised Draft); They reviewed and approved the appointment of the Institute of Brain-Computer Fusion and Bio-Machine Intelligence Committee, making Mr. Pan Gang as the director and executive director; The "Professional Committee of Rough Sets and Soft Computing" was renamed "Professional Committee of Granular Computing and Knowledge Discovery".
