Seminar on "AI Discipline Direction and Technology Roadmap" was held
Release time:December 24th , 2018

On February 14-15, Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence held a seminar on the "Artificial Intelligence Discipline Direction and Technology Roadmap" project of the China Association for Science and Technology in Fuzhou and The Green Papers Seminar "New AI, New Kinetic Energy, New Entity - Development Research Report for Integration of Artificial Intelligence and Real Economy in China”. The members of the two projects and the invited experts in related fields, respectively conducted a centralized demonstration and agreement on the core content and quality standards of “One Picture and One Book”.

The China Association for Science and Technology's "Artificial Intelligence Discipline Forecasting and Technology Roadmap" project is a sub-project of the "Subject Direction Forecasting and Technology

Roadmap" series launched by the China Association for Science and Technology in 2016. It is written by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. This topic is based on the present, looking to the future, through research, insight into the development trend and laws of the discipline of intelligent science and technology, the development trend of the discipline of artificial intelligence, and put forward the direction of technology and application as well as the mechanism of industrial cooperation.

The technical roadmap seminar was hosted by Ma Shaoping, vice president of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence and professor of Tsinghua University. Professor Yu Jian from Beijing Jiaotong University, Shi Zhongzhi, researcher at Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Han Liqun from Beijing Technology and Business University, Professor Zhang Minling from Southeast University, Nanjing Aerospace Professor Zhang Daoqiang from the University,

Professor He Qianfeng from Zhejiang University, Associate Professor Ji Jianmin from the University of Science and Technology of China, and members of the project team attended the meeting. "New AI, New Kinetic Energy, New Entity - Research Report on the Integration of Artificial Intelligence and Real Economy in China" The Green Paper was initiated by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence and organized by experts from various sectors of the industry and focused on the application of artificial intelligence and the integration of the real economy. Besides the basic terminology and standard specifications, technical bottleneck analysis, future trend forecast, etc., the green paper mainly include the use of machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, robotics, human-computer interaction and brain-like intelligence in practical high-value contents such as specific problem solving, demand realization, commercial landing, etc. It will help artificial intelligence companies to clarify the direction of technology R&D and application innovation, and help traditional enterprises to obtain more specific strategies and methods for intelligent upgrades. At the same time, it can help academic and scientific research institutions to establish systematic cognition between artificial intelligence technology and application, which is conducive to the breakthrough of artificial intelligence in applicability technology in China.

The Green Paper Seminar was hosted by Professor Wang Chao from Shanghai University. Professor Chen Wenbai from Beijing University of Information Science and Technology, Professor He Qianfeng from Zhejiang University and members of the project team attended the meeting. The project team experts gave a detailed report on the first draft of the Green Paper. Ma Shaoping, Shi Zhongzhi, Han Liqun, Gao Yang, Wang Wanliang, Wang Xuan, Tang Zhu and other experts put forward constructive opinions on these contents, which gave a strong revision to the next step of the Green Paper.
