On October 24th, the 6th National Digital Media Science and Technology Works and Creative Competition National On-Site Finals were held in Foshan, Guangdong. The college students from 65 colleges and universities competed on the same stage. The interaction of youth and creativity, the combination of technology and vision, set off a wave of climax on site.

Sponsored by Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, the National Digital Media Science and Technology Works and Creative Competition (hereinafter referred to as the “Digital Media Competition”) was founded in 2011 and has become an authoritative and professional national brand event for college students in the field of digital media technology. Based on the success of previous competitions, this year's digital media competition has received positive response and support from nearly 100 universities across the country. After a rigorous expert network review and centralized review, 201 outstanding projects stood out from the 589 preliminary works and were shortlisted for the national finals.
At the finals, the team demonstrated the project characteristics and development value to the experts by means of on-site defense, results application and display. The three experts in each group will conduct on-the-spot evaluations from five dimensions: creativity, technology and market. In the end, they will decide on the special prize, the first, second and third prize as well as the outstanding organization award.
It is said that this year's Digital Media Competition is one of the 2018 China "AI+" innovation and entrepreneurship series sponsored by Chinese Association for Articial Intelligence. As a supporting activity, the “10th National Digital Media Professional Construction Seminar” was also held concurrently with the finals. Experts and scholars from the field of digital media, representatives from enterprises, college teachers and students gathered to share and explore the innovation and development of digital media technology in China.
