In order to cultivate the spirit of technology innovation and practical ability, promote the development of technology education activity, the “UBTECH Cup” 2021 China Robot Skill Contest and 2021 China Robot Innovation and Practice Forum sponsored by CAAI will be held in Shenyang, Liaoning province in October, 2021. This event would build a platform for technology innovation and science education exchange.

The Forum field/ special topic and competitive events

The forum of university and college group will be held in Shenyang Aerospace University and the forum of youth group will be held online. The two forums include conference report and group exchange session. The group discussion field/ special topic and robots with corresponding setting and competitive events showing as follows:

(1)  The field/ special topic and competitive events of the university and college group (This forum is for on-site exchange, academic papers or technology reports must be submitted.)

(2)  The field/ special topic and competitive events of the primary and secondary schools. (There will be no on-site report and exchange seminars this year.)

Submission Requirements

The papers recommended by meeting special seminars in various field of universities and colleges to meet the basic requirement of public publication shall be modified according to the requirements of Command Information System and Technology.

A certain number of technology reports with good quality recommended and selected by various fields of special topic seminars of universities and colleges will be compiled into a volume and be published in a certain way for exchange.

1. Time for the conference forum registration: September 8-15, 2021

2.Method for the conference forum registration: please log in the conference/contest special website and finish the online registration according to the website tips.

3. Traffic & Room: all participants will pay their own expenses for their transportation and accommodation.

Competitive Events

For various fields and special topic of the forum, robots contests with related theme will be hold. The participating teachers or students are encouraged to take their robots to participate the contest or display. Every registered teacher or student is eligible to take a robot team and the robot can participate the contest or demonstration for free.

If the number of participating teams of each contest event should be 10 or more, a formal event will be established for competing, ranking and awarding.

Or else, there will be no competition and the related teams will enter the innovation and creativity contest automatically. And the contest will be played, ranked and awarded by groups if there are a larger number of the innovation and creativity teams.

As for the university and college group, if the number of the undergraduate colleges and the junior college teams for one contest event is 10 or more, they will be ranked and awarded separately.

As for the youth group, if the number of middle school and primary school teams is 10 or more, they will also be ranked and awarded separately.

The competition for advance events ensures that the top 2 (the top 3 of other events) in the final ranking should be from different units.The campus of a university in other area can be sorted separately, and the independent colleges of universities can be sorted separately; the branch schools of primary and secondary schools can be sorted separately, and the independent school district can be sorted separately.

According to the final ranking, each contest event will have the first prize (15%), the second prize (30%) and the third prize (30%) and award the certificates. The top 3 win the champion and runner-up and second runner-up prize and get the prize cup. One school can roll up to 3 teams in the same contest event and each robot contest team shall be composed of 1-2 advisers and 1-5 students.

Others

1. Due to the covid-19 and other uncertainty, the forum and contest events for the primary and secondary schools this year will be held online. If conditions permitted, some contest events of the youth group may be held in Nanjing, the capital city of Jiangsu province and the detailed plan shall be seen in follow-up notice.

2. Due to the pandemic Covid-19 and other uncertainty, the contest events for university and college may hold online depending on the situations. The events held online will also make some corresponding adjustment. The detailed plan shall be seen in follow-up notice.
