
To encourage collaboration between scholars and enterprises in the field of artificial intelligence, the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) has partnered with Ant Group to establish the "CAAI-Ant Research Fund," which is open to scholars from universities and research institutions to propose research questions.On May 23, 2026, the Society and Ant Group jointly issued a call for proposals for AGI-specific research projects, covering three major areas: AI foundational models, Agentic AI/AI Agents, and token efficiency optimization/world models, with a total of 26 research topics established.
Following eligibility review, preliminary evaluation, and final evaluation, a total of 23 projects were selected this year. Of these, 20 projects will be publicly announced online; the remaining 3 projects, due to special management regulations of the collaborating institutions, will be publicly announced in person at the Office of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence following deliberation. The public announcement period will last for 3 days (from July 31 to August 2, 2026).
Any organization or individual wishing to raise an objection to the published evaluation results must submit it under their real name to the Office of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence by 24:00 on August 2.
