
Hosted by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), co-organized by the Institute for Internet Justice of Tsinghua University, and organized by the Shanghai Intelligent Computing Branch of the National Key Laboratory of Internet Architecture and the CAAI Member Service Working Committee, the "2026 China Judicial Artificial Intelligence Congress" will take place in Shanghai from January 23 to 24.
The congress will feature guidance from leading figures including Dai Qionghai, Academician and President of CAAI; Zhang Bo, Academician and Honorary Dean of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence at Tsinghua University; and leaders from judicial authorities such as the Supreme People's Court. Invited guests from multiple universities, research institutions, and technology companies will deliver reports on the development trends of cutting-edge technologies and policy directions in the field of judicial AI. Together, they will discuss key industry development priorities and pathways to overcome bottlenecks, clarify the direction of industry growth, and accelerate the piloting and promotion of outstanding technological solutions in smart justice scenarios.
Zhang Bo is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Honorary Dean of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence at Tsinghua University. He was one of the founders of the State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Technology and Systems and served as its director from 1990 to 1996. He has conducted theoretical research in artificial intelligence, artificial neural networks, and machine learning, as well as applied research in pattern recognition, knowledge engineering, and robotics. In these fields, he has published over 200 academic papers and five book chapters or monographs. His research achievements have received awards such as the ICL European Artificial Intelligence Prize. In 2011, he was awarded an honorary doctorate in natural sciences by the University of Hamburg, Germany. He received the 2014 China Computer Federation Lifetime Achievement Award, the 2019 Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award for Highest Achievement, and in 2024 was named Educator of the Year by China Newsweek.
