Third World Congress on Music and Artificial Intelligence Successfully Held in Beijing

From April 25 to 26, 2026, the Third World Congress on Music and Artificial Intelligence was successfully held at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. Co-organized by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) and the Central Conservatory of Music, the congress brought together experts, scholars, university representatives, and industry professionals from fields including music AI, computer music, music brain science, performance science, digital art, music education, and industrial applications. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics such as music large language models, intelligent composition, music brain-computer interfaces, performance science, AI music education, digital sheet music, music information retrieval, and music industry innovation.

The two-day congress featured a diverse program including keynote speeches, academic forums, industry forums, youth forums, thematic exchanges, and an electronic music marathon, further promoting collaborative innovation across production, education, research, and application in the field of music AI.

The opening ceremony was moderated by Professor Li Xiaobing, Executive Chair of the Congress and Director of the Department of Music AI and Music Information Technology at the Central Conservatory of Music. It commenced with the congress's opening video, countdown, and release of the main visual. Addresses were delivered by Dai Qionghai, President of CAAI and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Ke Yang, Vice President and Standing Member of the Party Committee of the Central Conservatory of Music.
