On the afternoon of April 22, the "CAAI Visits Campuses" special event at Peking University was successfully held. Chen Wenbai, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), Liu Yanna, Secretary of the Science and Technology Exchange and International Cooperation Office, Chen Guang, Secretary of the Awards and Achievements Office, Zhang Yan, Deputy Director of the Office of Scientific Research at Peking University, and Chen Baoquan, Associate Dean of the School of Intelligence Science and Technology, attended the meeting. The session specially invited Professor Li Dongyu from the School of Cyber Science and Technology at Beihang University to share his experience in applying for CAAI awards as a representative of past winners. More than 20 faculty members from the main campus, the Health Science Center, and affiliated hospitals participated in the meeting. The session was chaired by Chen Baoquan.
Zhang Yan expressed his gratitude to the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) for its long-standing support of scientific research at Peking University. He noted that, in response to the era-defining trend of artificial intelligence leading a paradigm shift in scientific research, the university is implementing its top-level "15th Five-Year Plan" and actively responding to the "AI+" action plan. Peking University continues to enhance its capabilities in basic research, technology supply, and application development in the field of AI. He encouraged the faculty members present to take this awards application opportunity to fully leverage the university's strengths in fundamental research and interdisciplinary integration, focusing on key areas of artificial intelligence to produce more original and groundbreaking scientific achievements.
