The CAAI-Ant Research Fund (Large Model Projects) Project Certificate-Issuing Ceremony and Proposal Review Meeting were successfully held during "the 2024 Second Summit Forum on AI Large Model Technology”. “CAAI-Ant Research Fund” is jointly established by CAAI and Ant Group, aiming to build a platform for industry-academia cooperation, connecting industrial practice problems with academic research problems, and supporting outstanding scholars at home and abroad to carry out cutting-edge scientific research work combined with industry.

In April this year, the initial large model projetcs including 5 major directions such as industry-specific large model, general large model, large model data, large model security and large model infra were launched, and a total of 233 project declarations were received from 78 universities and research institutes. Under the strict and fair procudures, a total of 17 projects were selected this year after qualification review, preliminary evaluation carried out by 66 experts in the field of AI, and final evaluation by 11 experts.
