On September 21, 2024, the CAAI-Lenovo Blue Sky Research Fund was officially launched during “the 2024 Second Summit on AI Large Model Technology”. Li Yuehua, Senior Manager of University Collaborations at Lenovo Research Institute, introduced the purpose of the fund, its funding directions, and how it will support research projects.

Accompanying the official launch of the CAAI-Lenovo Blue Sky Research Fund, Lenovo, leveraging the CAAI platform and utilizing CAAI's academic influence and extensive network, will open up the technical challenges encountered during its corporate development process in the fields of AI and related areas to the academic community. Together, they will engage in scientific research efforts to promote the industrial application of cutting-edge technologies, achieving mutual promotion, co-creation, and win-win results between industry and academia. Currently, applications for 16 research projects covering large models and intelligent agents, as well as spatial intelligence and embodied intelligence, have been initiated.
