From June 14 to 16, 2024, the CAAI Bioinformatics and Intelligent Information Processing 2024 Academic Conference (BIIP2024), hosted by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) and organized by the CAAI Bioinformatics and Artificial Life Committee along with the School of Computer and Information Security at Guilin University of Electronic Technology, was successfully held in Guilin. The event was co-organized by Tsinghua University, Xiamen University, and the School of Life and Environmental Sciences at Guilin University of Electronic Technology.

The conference, themed "Digital Biology in the Era of Large AI Models," brought together experts and scholars from across the nation in the fields of bioinformatics and intelligent information processing to share the latest research findings, discuss cutting-edge technologies, and promote academic exchange and collaboration. Nearly 500 experts and scholars attended the event, which also included the CAAI Bioinformatics and Artificial Life Committee’s election meeting.

The conference featured 15 specialized sessions, including Intelligent Brain Signal Processing, Intelligent Bioinformatics, Multi-omics Data Analysis, Bio and Health Big Data Analysis, Intelligent Drug Design, Intelligent Analysis of Omics Data, Digital Diagnosis and Smart Health, Biomedical Imaging Analysis, Intelligent Biomedical Information Processing, Single-cell Omics Data Processing, Brain-Computer Interaction, Precision Medicine and Big Data, Intelligent Gene Regulation Analysis, Large Language Models and Biological Models, and Multimodal Bio-signal Detection. Experts and scholars from both domestic and international bioinformatics and intelligent information processing fields presented the latest academic information and research outcomes.
