This June, “The road maps and solutions for achieving trustworthy, reliable, and interpretable AI”, a topic introduced by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), was chosen as a major cutting-edge scientific issue for 2022 by China Association for Science and Technology (CAST).

In the morning of August 20th, CAAI held a seminar on the topic in order to enable it better serve the country’s decision-making for sci-tech issues and integrate into national panning and major engineering projects. Besides, they also aim to promote the accomplishments made in key technologies and facilitate the application and promotion. The seminar was presided over by Gao Xinbo, President of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, who firstly pointed out the problem. During the meeting, 17 experts and scholars from various fields, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Pujiang Lab, CASIA  Institute of Automation, iFLYTEK, and JD and so on, engaged in in-depth research and discussion on the current situation, progress, challenges, and policy recommendations related to the major scientific issue, producing a high-quality report to serve the scientific decision-making and planning of the Party and the country.
