The 2022 Vision And Learning SEminar (VALSE 2022) was successfully held in Tianjin from August 22nd to 24th. The seminar was hosted by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) and the Chinese Society of Image and Graphics (CSIG), organized by Tianjin University, and co-hosted by Tiangong University, Tianjin University of Science & Technology, Tianjin Association for Artificial Intelligence, and CSIG Youth Work Committee. Throughout the seminar, reports and presentations covered the most popular research topics in the fields of computer vision, image processing, pattern processing, pattern recognition, and machine learning. The discussions encompassed both domestic and international advancements in these areas. Additionally, 5 guest speakers were invited to deliver keynote reports in the meeting.
