On May 6th, the 12th (2022) Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award ceremony, the highest award for Chinese AI science and technology, was held in Beijing. Academician Zheng Nanning of the Chinese Academy of Engineering was awarded the “Wu Wenjun AI Highest Achievement Award”. Winners of the “Wu Wenjun AI Outstanding Contribution Award” include Professor Guo Yike,Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Member of the European Academy of Sciences, and Vice President of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology; Professor Huang Tiejun, President of Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence, Professor at School of Computer Science Peking University, and Director of the Multimedia Information Processing Lab, and He Xiaodong, Vice President of JD.com and Dean of JD Explore Academy.

In total, 60 projects were awarded at the 2022 Wu Wenjun AI Science and Technology Award Ceremony, including one Wu Wenjun AI Highest Achievement Award, three Wu Wenjun AI Outstanding Contribution Awards, four Wu Wenjun AI Natural Sciences Awards, four Wu Wenjun AI Technology Invention Awards, 12 Wu Wenjun AI Technological Progress Awards, three Wu Wenjun AI Scientific and Technological Progress Awards for Enterprise Technology Innovation Projects, two Wu Wenjun AI Scientific and Technological Progress Awards for Popular Science Projects, 15 Wu Wenjun AI Outstanding Youth Awards, two Wu Wenjun AI Special Awards for Chip Projects, nine Wu Wenjun AI Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Awards, and five Wu Wenjun AI Nominated Paper Awards for Outstanding Doctoral Dissertations.
