On the morning of January 18, the first session of the 14th Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC held its third plenary session for the General Assembly election. The members elected the collective leadership of the new Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC by secret ballot. It also elected the Standing Committee of the 14th Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, consisting of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary General, and 131 members of the Standing Committee. CAAI President, Academician Dai Qionghai, was elected unanimously as a member of the Standing Committee of the 14th Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC.
