On January 15th, the first artificial intelligence innovation technology seminar “Metaverse and Artificial Intelligence” sponsored by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, undertaken by Zhejiang Hangzhou Future SciTech City Management Committee, and the House of Fellows of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (Hangzhou) was successfully held online.

With network-wide broadcast, the accumulative number of viewers reaches over 900,000.

This seminar focusing on the hot topic “metaverse”, discussed the relationship between the metaverse and artificial intelligence and the future of the metaverse. 10 academicians, including Academician Dai Qionghai, Professor Wang Guoyin, Professor Liu Hong, Professor Bao Hujun, Professor Zhuang Yueting, Professor Miao Duoqian, Professor He Xiaodong, Researcher Wang Liang, Researcher Xu Weiwei, and Dr. Tao Fangbo ,10 expertswith important influence at home and abroad were invited. It brought us a rich academic feast.

Academician Dai Qionghai, chairman of CAAI, made an opening speech. Academician Dai pointed out: “Artificial intelligence is a basic and strategic technology, and it is also a technology that promotes industrial transformation. Last year, the Metaverse was deployed and discussed by all walks of life, especially many countries led by the United States. Metaverse is the representation of the very important virtual digital world in the future, in which artificial intelligence integrated into all aspects, is an engine of the metaverse. I hope that through today’s discussion, all you can make the metaverse play a role in all aspects and play its potential and strategic power. This seminar has played a role in setting sail, and I hope the conference will be a complete success.”

Six keynote reports and two round-table forums were splendid

The morning session of this seminar was chaired by Professor Wang Guoyin, and the afternoon session was chaired by Researcher Wang Liang.

On the morning of January 15, Professor Zhuang Yueting gave a report titled “Also about the Metaverse: From Concept to Technology Connotation”; Professor Bao Hujun gave a report entitled “Mixed Reality Technology and Its Metaverse Application"; Professor Miao Duoqian gave a report entitled “Pedestrian Re-identification Research Technology and the Metaverse”; on the afternoon of January 15, Professor He Xiaodong shared a report entitled “Multimodal Dialogue Intelligence - Building a Human-Computer Interaction System in the Metaverse”; Dr. Tao Fangbo shared a report entitled “Machine Mind: The Singularity Moment of the Metaverse”, and Professor Liu Hong shared a report entitled “Intelligent Metaverse: A New Stage in the Development of Human Tools”.
