In order to implement the instructions of the chairman Xi Jingping on “the close integration of military theory and military science and technology", Deyi LI., academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, chairman of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, honorary chairman of the Chinese Institute of Command and Control, and researcher of the Institute of Systems Engineering of the Academy of Military Sciences, First lauch the Spring Festival Symposium on "Technology Integration and Innovation" in Beijing on February 5, 2018 cohosted by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, the Chinese Academy of Command and Control, and the Institute of Systems Engineering of the Academy of Military Sciences

More than 40 expert representatives attended the symposium. They are academician Xuejun YANG, academician Xicheng LU, academician Deyi LI, academician Aiguo FEI, academician Hao DAI, academician Changxiang Shen, academician Xiangke LIAO, academician Quan YU, academician Hao YIN,academician Shafei WANG, etc. from the Academy of Military Sciences, Military Commission, National Defence University of People's Liberation Army, Army Research Institute, Naval Research Institute, Air Force Research Institute, Rocket Army Research Institute and related fields  respectively.

On July 19, 2017, Comrade Xi Jinping, Chairman of the Central Military Commission, awarded the military flag, military training, and training speech to the newly-adjusted Academy of Military Sciences PLA China , National Defense University of People's Liberation Army, and National University of Defense Technology.

President Xi stressed that the Academy of Military Sciences is the fist force of the military scientific research of the whole army.

It is necessary to adapt to the new system and new requirements of military scientific research work, adhere to the close integration of military theory and military science and technology, innovate the organization mode of military scientific research work, promote collaborative innovation, develop modern military science, and strive to build a world-class military scientific research institution.
