Members and related units:

In order to commemorate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, welcome the 19th National Congress of the CPC, show case exemplary role played by the Party members in CAAI in science and technology field and the fruitful results achieved in various fields, and push forward the innovation and pioneering initiative of the China Association for Science and Technology(CAST), we will carry out the work of recommendation and publicity of exemplary deeds of Party members in CAAI in science and technology field. The relevant matters are notified as follows:

I. Candidates

Only S&T workers of CAAI with Party membership working in the front line are eligible to be the candidate. 1-3 quotas are available.

II. Eligibility 

The candidates should meet at least three requirements:

1. Firm political stands and beliefs. Candidates should be absolutely loyal to the Party, conscientiously study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important speeches and closely follow the Central Committee of CPC with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, in terms of our thinking, political orientation, and actions.

2. Candidates should comply with Party rules and national laws. Candidates  are supposed to consciously abide by national laws and regulations，to observe the Party's disciplines, particularly political discipline and organizational discipline, to conscientiously fulfill the obligations of Party members, and to correctly exercise the rights of Party members.

3. Candidates are supposed to have excellent performance. Candidates are supposed to have a strong sense of enterprise and responsibility, take the lead in implementing the Party's line, principles and policies, and keep close contact with the masses. You should be hardworking, innovative, dedicated, active and outstanding with a strong sense of responsibility，as well as giving full play to an exemplary role of pioneers in work, study and social life.

III. Requirements for Organization

(1) Strengthen organizational leadership. The publicity activities are led by the Party Committee of the Science and Technology Association and Research and Publicity Department of CAST, with the Party organizations of various societies as the main body of recommendation.

(2) Candidates should be inclined to the scientific and technological workers of Party members at the grass-roots level. In the work of recommendation, we will combine bottom-up and top-down methods to organize Party organizations and Party members to recommend. We will consider the opinions of Party members, cadres and the masses via various channels, and earnestly do a good job of selecting the best. Every candidate should have typical, representative and wide social impact and be able to stand the test.

(3) Deadlines

Please submit the paper and electronic editions of the recommendation materials to the Party Committee of the Science and Technology Association before June 21.

(4) Requirements for Recommendation Materials:

1. one original and one copy describing the deeds in detail are needed with no more 3000 words 300 words for the introduction of key deeds.

2. Submit two single photos reflecting the working situation (resolution 300 dpi, size more than 1M); using micro-video and other multimedia forms is accepted.

3. All the contents in the recommendation form are required. The main stories and brief stories should be expressed precisely and accurately. No confidential content should be involved in the recommendation materials.
