Notice on Calling for "Scientific Issues Leading the World’s Science Development and Engineering and Technological Challenges building China as the world's Science and Technology Power"

 In order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the China Association for Science and Technology（CAST）,to present the basis for the scientific and technological sector to judge the future development trend of science and technology, and to seize the breakthrough of scientific and technological innovation, and as part of our efforts to design the layout of the scientific and technological future development, and promote the construction of a world of science and technology, the China Association for Science and Technology（CAST）collects " Scientific Issues Leading the World’s Science Development and Engineering and Technological Challenges building China as the world's Science and Technology Power " proposed by the majority of scientific and technological community. Relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

First, the collection time

 From now (on) until February 26, 2018.

Second, the collection field and content

 Focusing on collecting problems and difficulties in the field of artificial intelligence and crossing sector, the CAAI plans to recommend 10 questions and 10 difficulties concerning leading scientific issues and engineering and technological problems that have a pioneering role in the development of science and technology in 2050 to the China Association for Science and Technology. The contents of the collection include problem topics, subject matter, keywords, description of the problem, background of the problem, and latest developments and significance of the problem. The length of the text is about 2,000 Chinese characters and about 3,000 characters in English.  And the writing format is attached.

Third, the collection method

 The recommendations of the members of the CAAI and related organizations are submitted to the msc@caai.cn by Word.

Fourth, related matters

 The subject of the email is named in the format of “Technical Issues Collection + CAAI”, and the attached manuscripts are named in the format of “Technical Issues + Title + Name”. And the submission format is attached.

(I). The problems and difficulties survive from the final evaluation will be released at the 20th CAST Annual Meeting in May 2018. The China Association for Science and Technology invited the issuer, the problem writer, the person in charge of the recommendation society or the association, and one contact person as the guests to attend the launching ceremony.

 (II). The problems and difficulties selected by the CAST will be compiled into two books, " Science Issues Leading the World Science" and "Engineering Technology Problems in Building China a World's Science and Technology Power", officially published by China Science and Technology Press. And the title of the recommendation is marked by the name of the recommend association or the association community and the name of the author.

 (III). The China Association for Science and Technology will select some of the issues and submit them to the relevant state departments for decision-making reference through channels such as “Scientific and Technological Workers' Recommendations”.

 (VI). The national associations and associations that recommend problems and problems are preferred to host academic conferences on topics related to the CAST.

(V). The media of "China Science and Technology Workers' Home Network" and "China Science and Technology" will set up special topics to announce and interpret selected questions and problems.

 Hope that the Technology National Committee of the China Association for Science and the Association Community, all relevant research institutes, universities, and the majority of science and technology workers can actively participate, gather wisdom of the scientific and technological community, and jointly make due contributions to building a world of science and technology.
