In order to do a good job in the recommendation of representatives of outstanding scientific and technological workers, the relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1. basic conditions

2. Recommended categories

(1) representatives of scientists: excellent representatives of the older generation of scientists and young and middle-aged scientists who are world-renowned in various disciplines. "Old" refers to the scientists who responded positively when the CPC central committee issued the great call of "march toward science" in 1956. "Middle" refers to scientists who worked in science and technology during the "spring of science" in 1978; "Young" refers to the scientists who have made major scientific research and engineering breakthroughs at the "science and technology conference iii" in 2016.

(2) representatives of grassroots scientific and technological workers: excellent scientific and technological workers who have been engaged in research and exploration in the discipline and field, the industry in the region and unknown to the public for a long time, who have written their papers on the grassroots and front-line in the national defense construction, the third-line construction, the development of the western region and the construction of the special economic zone, giving consideration to the elderly, middle-aged and young people. "Old" means scientific and technical workers aged 60 or above; "Medium" means scientific and technical workers aged between 46 and 59; "Young" refers to people aged 45 and under who work in science and technology.

3. Recommended quota

(1) one Lao, one zhong and one qing candidate is recommended for each category (6 candidates in total).

(2) no more than one third of the recommended candidates shall be Chinese academicians.

Recommend job requirements

(1) adhere to the principle of "fairness, impartiality, openness and selection of the best", strictly abide by the selection conditions, give full play to democracy, ensure the quality of selection, recommendation of candidates must be approved by the standing council of the institute.

(2) the recommendation work shall adhere to the scientific and technological workers' ideological quality, spiritual outlook and work achievements as the benchmark, strictly check, choose the best, ensure the advanced nature, typicality and representativeness, and give due consideration to female scientific and technological workers.

3. The selection of participants shall be finalized by the China association for science and technology on the basis of the structure and representativeness of the candidates.

5. Material submission

(I) please submit a recommendation before April 20, 2018, fill in the recommendation form and submit it to the office of China association of artificial intelligence, and submit the electronic version (word version) at the same time.

(2) submit one recommendation work report at the same time, including organizing the recommendation and reviewing the situation of the standing council. Also submit the electronic version (word version).
