The recommendation of excellent doctoral dissertation of CAAI in 2019 has been launched. The award is set up to promote scientific and technological progress in the field of artificial intelligence in China. It will encourage innovative research, promote the growth of young talents, and commend doctoral degree winners in China who have made outstanding achievements. We hereby inform you of the matters related to the recommendation of candidate papers in 2019 as follows:

1. Evaluation conditions:

1) The selection scope of this excellent doctoral dissertation is the doctoral dissertation that passed the defense of doctoral dissertation and engaged in the research in the field of artificial intelligence in China on January 1, 2017, solstice, December 31, 2018;

2) The doctoral dissertation should be recommended by the school (department), research institution or CAAI professional committee. Each unit can only recommend 3 theses for evaluation;

3) Please refer to the "regulations on selection of excellent doctoral dissertation of CAAI" for specific conditions and constraints.

2. Assessment Application Materials:

1) Two paper copies;

2) One electronic paper;

3) Recommendation form of CAAI excellent doctoral dissertation (must be signed and sealed by the person in charge of the unit where the author is defending himself/herself)

4) Papers recommended by the special committee shall be submitted in paper form signed by the director of the special committee and in PDF scan form;

5) One hard copy of the opinions of the defense committee and one PDF scan;

6) For confidential recommendation materials, please review in accordance with relevant national laws and regulations, and submit the certificate of confidentiality review.

7) Other relevant certification materials.

3. Review arrangement

All units are requested to do a good job in organizing the recommendation, and submit the paper version of the application materials to the secretariat of the Chinese association for artificial intelligence before 17:00 on April 20, 2019, and send the electronic version to the mailbox of the Chinese association for artificial intelligence.

Specific selection schedule:

1) Acceptance: from now until April 20, 2019;

2) Format and Qualification Review: April 20 to May 10, 2019;

3) Preliminary Evaluation: From May 10, 2019 to May 26, 2019, peer experts will conduct preliminary evaluation on the application materials, from which no more than 20 excellent doctoral dissertation candidates will be selected;

4) Preliminary Evaluation Announcement: May 26th to June 9th, 2019;

5) Final Evaluation: From June 10, 2019 to June 25, 2019, CAAI final evaluation committee will make final evaluation, and no more than 10 excellent papers will be selected, and no more than 5 excellent papers will be nominated;

6) Final Evaluation: From June 26, 2019 to July 10, 2019.
