Through research, Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence and China Engineering Science and Technology knowledge Center will hold “the eighth Wu Wenjun award for artificial intelligence science and technology and the annual meeting for China Artificial Intelligence Industry in 2018” in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, which from December 8 to 10, 2018. The aim is to make full implementation of innovation driven development strategy, the implementation of the national "a new generation of artificial intelligence development planning", recommended by selected excellent intelligent achievements of science and technology and industrialization projects, effectively arouse the enthusiasm of the intelligent science and technology talents and creativity, recognition of the highest honor for artificial intelligence scholars and experts, artificial intelligence technology in the field of industries can assign and support role, vigorously promote intelligent level of science and technology innovation and industrial development in our country, to speed up the construction of the innovation to become the world's artificial intelligence center and application of the highlands. The activity plan is made as follows:

Ⅰ. Background of the Meeting

A new round of technological change and innovation turning point period into application, artificial intelligence technology wave blustery in the global, the United States, the European Union, Britain, Japan, Russia and other countries made artificial intelligence national development plan one after another. China has successively introduced "Internet +" Three Years Action Plan for AI”, The plan for the Development of a New Generation for AI, The Three-year Action Plan for Promoting the Development of a New Generation of AI Industry (2018-2020), and The Action Plan for the Innovation of AI in Institutions of Higher Learning, which have become the consensus and action of countries around the world to accelerate the development of artificial intelligence and seize the commanding heights of international artificial intelligence.

"Wu Wenjun Award for Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology" was sponsored by CAAI-the national association. It is the only award in China AI field that named as Mr. Wu Wenjun, an outstanding scientist, master of mathematics, pioneer of artificial intelligence, pioneer and leader of China's intelligent scientific research, winner of the first national highest science and technology award, academician of the Chinese academy of sciences, honorary President of the Chinese Association of Artificial Intelligence, enjoys a good reputation at home and abroad. The award was established by social forces that have the qualification to nominate and recommend the national science and technology awards, and are known as "China's highest award for intelligent science and technology", representing the highest symbol of honor in the field of AI.

Artificial intelligence industry annual meeting of China (CAIIAM) launched by CAAI is an annual landmark event of artificial intelligence with high authority, large scale, strong brand power and far-reaching industry influence in China, as a theme supporting activity for the award ceremony of the eighth Wu Wenjun Award for Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology, with "high-end, professional, influence" as the policy, set report release, honor recognition, high-end conference, product display, innovation competition, project roadshow and other six sections in one. It aims to build a high-level interactive communication platform for Artificial intelligence academic, application, capital, and industry.           Experts from National ministries and commissions were invited to interpret AI policies, discuss the strategic direction and development trend of AI, and nearly 200 domestic authoritative scholars, top experts and business elites shared the research progress, cutting-edge technology direction and future innovation ecology of AI. The meeting will be held for two days, with a total of 16 core topics and 58 thematic reports on high-end dialogues and exchanges of ideas.
