The CAAI-Lenovo Blue Sky Research Fund is a research funding program jointly established by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence and Lenovo for young scholars at Chinese universities and research institutes. By building a platform for collaboration and exchange between industry and academia, the fund supports basic research and development in artificial intelligence, promotes innovative applications of AI methods in scientific fields, cultivates AI talent, and facilitates university-industry cooperation and the transformation of technological achievements.

The 2025 CAAI-Lenovo Blue Sky Research Fund comprises two categories - Focused Breakthrough and Frontier Exploration - and plans to support 14 projects. Focused Breakthrough projects will receive RMB 300,000 each, with 11 projects planned for funding, aiming to solve industry technical challenges innovatively and jointly promote the application of outcomes. Frontier Exploration projects will receive RMB 100,000 each, with 3 projects planned for funding, encouraging forward-looking innovation, with intellectual exchange and academic reporting as the primary deliverables.

The project conference will be held online from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on November 5. The conference will feature a keynote speech by Yang Yi, Deputy Secretary-General of CAAI, Director of the AI Institute at Zhejiang University, and Qiushi Chair Professor. Lenovo technical experts will provide in-depth introductions to the projects. Faculty members and young scholars interested in applying are warmly welcome to participate and submit their proposals!
