Artificial intelligence technology is redefining the trajectory of human social development with unprecedented impact, shaping a new paradigm of intelligent development. As human-machine collaboration becomes the basic mode of social operation, the public faces not just technological change but an adaptation to a cognitive revolution and civilizational transformation. In August 2025, the State Council officially released the "Opinions on Deeply Implementing the 'AI+' Action," which explicitly calls for "advancing AI education across all educational levels and general education for the whole society," marking a critical leap in China's AI strategy from technological breakthroughs to total-factor empowerment.
To actively respond to this national strategic deployment, address the unprecedented challenges AI brings to all sectors of society, and deeply implement the concept of integrating AI with education, the ninth session of the "AI in Action" forum series, hosted by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), will be held online on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM under the theme "Next-Generation AI General Education: Urgent Action Needed."
This forum session will focus on cultivating comprehensive public competencies needed in the intelligent age - understanding AI, applying AI, innovating with AI, and adhering to ethical relationships between humans and intelligent systems. It will explore how to nurture new types of talents with the characteristics of the intelligent era through systemic general education reform, laying a solid humanistic and value foundation for building a future society of human-machine collaboration and AI for good. It will also explore creating a talent development ecosystem that bridges general education with specialized education, and AI majors with AI+X interdisciplinary programs, driving a fundamental shift in educational paradigms from knowledge-based and competency-based models to literacy-based models.
