Cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies are driving a major technological transformation in the intelligent era, and strengthening the underlying scientific foundations while building a secure and trustworthy ecosystem are key to ensuring this transformation has a sustainable future. To further promote academic exchange and scientific innovation in the field of artificial intelligence, the 21st China Annual Conference on Foundations of Artificial Intelligence (CFAI 2026) will be held in Changchun from August 21 to August 23, 2026. Under the theme "Laying the Foundation for Intelligence, Planning for a Trustworthy Future," the conference will bring together numerous distinguished experts and young scholars in the field of artificial intelligence from across China to jointly explore cutting-edge science and future trends in the field.

The topics covered at this forum include core areas such as intelligent mathematics, intelligent perception, generative models, big data science, trustworthy artificial intelligence, neurosymbolic computing, automated reasoning, AI education, and AI+cybersecurity. The forum will feature multiple sessions, including invited talks and thematic workshops. Special guests include Professor Li Angsheng, Chair of the CAAI Technical Committee on Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and professor at Beihang University; Professor Liu Xianglong of Beihang University; and Professor Liu Xinwang of the National University of Defense Technology; Professor Shen Chao from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Professor Liu Min from Hunan University, and Nick, Chairman of the Wuzhen Think Tank-all renowned experts and scholars in China's AI field-to deliver insightful presentations and organize academic forums, fully showcasing the latest research findings and practical experiences from both academia and industry. The annual conference will also feature an exhibition of research achievements.

This conference is organized by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) and hosted by the CAAI Technical Committee on Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and Jilin University.
