The "CAAI-Ant Research Fund (AGI Program)" is jointly established by CAAI and Ant Group to support industry-academia collaboration and shared development in the field of artificial general intelligence. By building a platform for industry-academia cooperation, the fund aims to connect industrial practice with academic research, enabling outstanding scholars worldwide to conduct cutting-edge research integrated with real-world applications.
This funding cycle covers three major directions: AI Foundation Models, Agentic AI/AI Agents, and Token Efficiency Optimization/World Models, with a total of 26 research topics established. Selected projects will receive funding of RMB 300,000 per project. The project collaboration period is one year, and projects with strong outcomes may apply for rolling support.
The information sessions for this funding cycle will be held online on June 4 and 5, from 15:00 to 17:00 each day, split into two sessions. The sessions will feature opening remarks by Jiang Shuqiang (Director of the CAAI Specialized Committee on Embodied AI, Distinguished Professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, nationally recognized high-level talent) and Lan Zhenzhong (Director of the Ant Group General Artificial Intelligence Research Center) introducing the overall program. Ant Group experts (in algorithms, technology, and product development) corresponding to the 26 research topics will provide in-depth introductions to each topic. Teachers and young scholars interested in applying are warmly welcome to participate and submit proposals.
