Recently, the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) officially released the *Key Academic Conference Guide (2025)*, with a total of 708 academic conferences selected. Among them, nine academic conferences recommended by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) were included.

The selected conferences exhibit five prominent characteristics: First, they distinctly serve national strategic imperatives, focusing on key areas of technological innovation such as new-generation information technology and aerospace in their themes. Second, interdisciplinary exchanges are extensive and in-depth, involving national strategic scientific and technological forces to discuss cross-disciplinary challenges. Third, emphasis is placed on nurturing young talents by providing platforms for showcasing achievements and engaging in dialogue with experts. Fourth, academic mechanisms are more robust, highlighting the central role of scholars through the establishment of academic committees and enhanced interactive debates. Fifth, significant progress has been made in improving conference conduct, streamlining non-academic segments and practising a concept of simplicity and pragmatism in conference organisation.

In the future, the Association will use these selected conferences as benchmarks. It will strive to enhance academic conferences' responsiveness to national strategic needs, their leading role in disciplinary frontiers, and their effectiveness in supporting young talents. Furthermore, it will continue to advance the professionalisation and standardisation of conference organisation, working diligently to build a nationally exemplary academic brand with broad influence, thereby more effectively serving the innovative endeavours of the wider scientific and technological community.
