In February 2024, the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) Fellow candidate nomination process was initiated. The list of newly selected Fellows includes 20 outstanding researchers in the AI field: Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Academicians Qiao Hong, CAS Academician Guan Xiaohong, Professor Zhu Wenwu, Professor Song Yongduan, Professor Qiao Junfei, Professor Zhang Huaguang, Professor Liu Yiqun, Professor Qiu Xipeng, Professor Hu Qinghua, Professor Chen Xiaoping, Professor Meng Xiaofeng, Professor Wang Xiaojie, Professor Ban Xiaojuan, Professor Li Xiaobing, Professor Xiong Minghui, Professor Wang Xuan, Professor Ding Shifei, Professor Xiong Hui, Dr. Wang Shijin, and Dr. Wang Xianying. The association extends its heartfelt congratulations to these members for receiving this prestigious honour!

The Fellow system was first established by the CAAI in 2017 to recognize members with outstanding achievements in the field of artificial intelligence who have made significant contributions to the association. This initiative aims to further inspire members to reach new heights in technological innovation. Being named a Fellow is the highest academic honour within the association, with a total of 139 Fellows being appointed to date.
