On July 13-14, the “2024 China Metaverse Conference” was successfully held in Hangzhou, hosted by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence and organized by CAAI Professional Committee on Meta-verse Technology. Academician Dai Qionghai, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of CAAI, academician Sun Youxian, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of Zhejiang University, and Professor Tao Jianhua of Tsinghua University, director of CAAI Professional Committee on Meta-verse Technology, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony of the conference, analyzing the great role and infinite potential of the fusion of AI and meta-universe, and explaining the importance of the synergistic innovation of industry, academia and research.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, China Artificial Intelligence Series White Paper - Metaverse Technology (2024 Edition) was released for the first time, and Prof. Tao Jianhua analyzed the relevant background and core content on the spot. The white paper systematically and comprehensively shows the dynamics and trends of meta-universe technology, which is an authoritative interpretation of the frontiers of meta-universe technology and a forward-looking depiction of the future blueprint, and has an important reference value to help all walks of life to deeply understand the core technology of the meta-universe and industrial trends.
