From March 30th to 31st, 2024 China Embodied AI Conference (CEAI 2024) was successfully held in West Bund of Xuhui district, Shanghai. It was hosted by Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), co-organized by the CAAI Professional Committee of Embodied Intelligence, Tongji University, Institute of Computer Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and China Economic Information Service Shanghai Headquarters, and co-hosted by Global Artificial Intelligence Academic Alliance (GAIAA). During the conference, experts discussed the application scenarios, competitive landscape, and prospects of the embodied AI industry. Nearly a thousand participants were present.

“As a cutting-edge hotspot in artificial intelligence, embodied AI is gradually evolving from theories to practices,” said Ren Dajin, Director of Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, in his speech. He also added that Shanghai will accelerate breakthroughs in key technologies and underlying technologies, including embodied AI and humanoid robots, striving to become a science and technology innovation center with global influence.
