From November 25th to 26th, the 18th China Annual Conference on Foundations of Artificial Intelligence (CFAI 2023) was successfully held in Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU). It was hosted by Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), organized by CAAI Artificial Intelligence Foundation Professional Committee and NPU, and co-hosted by Systems Engineering Society of China and the Youth Working Society of Chinese Association of Automation (YAC).

The conference focused on addressing national significant demands, foundational research and innovative capabilities of AI. Featuring nine keynote presentations, eight sub-forums, one AI roundtable forum, and a wide range of academic activities, the meeting served as a platform for discussions, learning, and cooperation. During the conference, experts, scholars, and engineering professionals in relevant fields engaged in discussions covering various topics in the field of AI, including foundational algorithms, systems, applications, security, and ethics. More than 300 renowned experts, scholars, and professionals in the field of AI from more than 30 domestic and foreign universities, research institutions, and leading enterprises attended the conference, sharing latest research results, cutting-edge ideas, and innovative technologies.
