Mr. Tu Xuyan, a well-known Chinese expert in automatic control and artificial intelligence and a professor at the School of Computer and Communication Engineering at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, passed away. All directors and members of the CAAI would like to express their deepest condolences and extend their sincere sympathy to Mr. Tu’s relatives.

Mr. Tu was a famous scientist in the field of artificial intelligence in China and the main founder of the Chinese artificial intelligence discipline. For many years, he actively participated in the organization and management of CAAI, serving as the second and third president of the CAAI and the first batch of the CAAI’s fellows, making outstanding contributions to the organization of CAAI and playing an important and trailblazing role in the development of the Chinese artificial intelligence discipline.
