On March 19, 2023, the fourth session of the “Intelligent China” forum series was successfully held. The theme of the session was "From Chat Synthesis to GPT-4 Productivity: The Synergy of Human and Artifact and Innovation Exploration". Focusing on "Chat Synthesis", over 10 leading AI scientists, educators, and scholars were invited to discuss how AI promotes leaps in productivity and the nature of technological innovation. They discussed this phenomenal technological innovation product and speculated on new trends in technology and scientific innovation.
This forum is sponsored by the China Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), and organized by the deputy director of CAAI Professional Committee of Education and “Engineering”. Other supporters of this forum are the Shanghai Institute for Advanced Study - Zhejiang University, Beijing Institute of Artificial Intelligence, CCF TCMT(Multimedia Technology), the Collaborative Innovation Center of Artificial Intelligence by MOE and Zhejiang Provincial Government(ZJU), “Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering”, and Huawei Technology Co., Ltd.
Prof. Hou Biao, Deputy Director of CAAI Educational Committee and Executive Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence, Xidian University, and Professor Deng Zhihong from the School of Intelligence Science and Technology, Peking University, Deputy Director of CAAI Educational Committee hosted the forum.

Xu Zongben, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, mathematician, expert in signal and information processing, and professor of Xi’an Jiaotong University, delivered the opening speech.

Wang Jianyu, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and researcher of Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a keynote speech entitled “Quantum and Science and Technology Innovation”.

Prof. Gu Xianfeng, a tenured professor at SBU (the State University of New York at Stony Brook) and the Empire Innovation Professor in the Departments of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at SUB, delivered a keynote address entitled “Optimal Transport Theory and Generative Models”.

Prof. Chen Yiran of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University gave a keynote presentation titled “An Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Researcher's Journey to Artificial Intelligence (AI)”.

Prof. Wu Fei, Director of the CAAI Educational Committee and Director of College of Computer Science and Technology, Zheiang University, delivered a keynote report entitled “From ChatGPT to GPT-4: Innovation Development of Artificial Intelligence”.

Prof. Zhang Junping of the School of Computer Science, Fudan University, Director of Popularization Committee of Chinese Association of Automation, delivered a keynote speech entitled “ChatGPT: Creating Planes or Birds?”

Prof. Lei Na of DUT—RU International School of Information Science & Engineering delivered a keynote speech entitled “Hyper Vision”.

Zhang Min, a researcher of Zhejiang University’s Hundred Talents Program and doctoral supervisor, delivered a keynote presentation entitled "Innovative Applications and Reflections of Medical Artificial Intelligence in the ChatGPT Era".

Prof. Wu Fei, Director of CAAI Professional Committee of Education, made a concluding speech. He showed thanks for all participants for their support to the CAAI Professional Committee of Education and claimed that “Intelligent China” will hold a series of forums focusing on these theoretical frontiers, technological breakthroughs, and innovative developments.
