Carrying forward the spirit of Lei Feng, volunteer activities in science and technology are underway. To resolutely implement the spirit of the General Secretary’s instructions, CAAI actively responds to the call of the China Association for Science and Technology, and adheres to the principle that “researchers must take serving the country as their duties, and scholars must regard serving the people as glory.” Through volunteer activities in various forms, CAAI profoundly interprets the connotations of the spirit of Lei Feng and continues Lei Feng’s story in the field of science and technology in the new era.

The year 2023 marks the 60th anniversary of Comrade Mao Zedong’s inscription “Learn from Comrade Lei Feng.” To promote the spirit of Lei Feng, the CAAI Professional Committee of Extenics held an online volunteer activity on March 3 with the theme of “Using the method of extenics to broaden the cultivation path of people’s literacy in Chinese language science.” The event invited Ms. Peng Lishi, an outstanding practitioner in promoting the application of the method of extenics and a key speaker of the “library series” of public welfare activities of Guangzhou Ketuoxue Information Technology Co., Ltd. She shared her experience and insights with students of high school age and above, parents, teachers, and those interested in extenics to help them better understand how to use the method of extenics to enhance literacy in Chinese language science.
