In order to actively promote the complementary strengths of schools and enterprises and make up for the shortcomings of AI teacher training, the "2022 National Training Course for Artificial Intelligence Teachers and the 27th AI Training Course for College Teachers" was held online from March 18 to 20. In the speech, Prof. Wang Wenbo mentioned that accelerating the training of AI talents is an inherent requirement for the strategic high point of China's future science and technology. In order to achieve this goal, deepening the integration of industry and education is a necessary way, which is also the significance of this teacher training course co-organized by the CAAI and Baidu. "Building a high-level faculty is a key step in the development of artificial intelligence. as the only professional national academic association in the field of artificial intelligence in China, CAAI will continue to play a unique advantage in the field of artificial intelligence industry, academia, research and application, and strongly support and promote universities and industry to carry out academic exchanges on artificial intelligence faculty training, talent training, etc. "
Deputy Director Ji Xiangting pointed out that the new round of technological revolution and industrial change is reshaping the innovation map of various industries. The current urgent demand for talents in the market, the more diversified and rich practical application scenarios, and the changing education and teaching needs have prompted teachers to have a more innovative, cross-border and open education and teaching concept to adapt to the times. It is different from the previous participating teachers in computer, software, information engineering and other science and technology subjects, today's participating teachers also include medical, aerospace, manufacturing and many other fields. "Baidu is joining forces with all sectors of society to work towards the goal of training 5 million AI talents in the future, and also to provide AI talents for the development of China's smart economy and smart society."
Prof. Zhang Lihua explained the concept of "meta-universe" and its future evolution from a technical point of view, taking Baidu's "Xirang", the first domestic meta-universe product, as an example, in his invited presentation. The presentation highlighted the importance of artificial intelligence in the future development of technology. "It is worthwhile for workers in the field of artificial intelligence to think seriously about where and how artificial intelligence should develop in the era of intelligent interconnection between human, machine and object. The Fudan University team has been exploring since 2018 how to build the theoretical system of human-machine thing ternary fusion and how to realize the group intelligence emergence of ternary inhibited groups through interaction and synergy in the context of the new ternary era."
In a report titled "Industry-education integration to cultivate innovative talents in artificial intelligence", Bi Ran introduced the development of AI industry and the layout of Baidu AI. Baidu Flying Paddle has become the most widely used deep learning platform in China after its rapid development in recent years. The Flying Paddle Sailing Program provides three-dimensional resource support such as industrial data sets, arithmetic power, and teaching and learning content to help foster innovative talents in the integration of industry and education.
Since 2018, Baidu has trained more than 3,000 AI professional teachers for free by jointly holding deep learning teacher training courses in colleges , helping more than 700 colleges and universities to offer deep learning courses and training tens of thousands of school students. It is worth mentioning that, compared with the previous courses, this training courses are upgraded from the traditional deep learning general class to three classes containing CV fundamentals, industrial defect detection and Baidu intelligent vehicle competition with their own characteristics, which are more targeted to meet the teaching needs of different teachers; and actual industrial cases are used as a practical aid to open the closed loop of theory and practical application, which is more adapted to the practical needs of the current AI industry.
